Accept or decline requests to feature your content on shops
This feature is not available to everyone at this time.
When you tag a brand or product on Instagram, or use a brand-related hashtag (example: a hashtag with a brand's name or the name of a brand-driven campaign) in a post that features a product that the brand sells, you may get a request to have your post featured on the brand's shop on Instagram or Facebook. These requests may be:
  • Requested by this shop: The brand can request to feature your post on its shop across Meta Company Products.
  • Pre-selected by Meta: Meta can request to feature your post on the brand's shop across Meta Company Products.
Brands or Meta can only request to use your content if you have a public profile and are older than 18.
Accept or decline requests
When you receive a request to have your content featured on a brand's shop, you can accept or decline the request in your privacy settings. You will receive a notification with the request.
To accept or decline a request:
  1. Tap profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  2. Tap more options in the top right.
  3. Tap Guides and sharing.
  4. Tap Featured content on Shops.
  5. Under Open requests, find the request you would like to accept or decline.
  6. Tap Accept to accept the request. Tap Decline to decline the request.
You may receive a notification reminding you to accept or decline a request to feature your content on a brand's shop. The request will expire after 21 days if you don't respond.
Will I be paid if a brand uses my content on its shop?
No, you won't be paid if you allow your post to be featured on a brand's shop.

Privacy
Can I receive requests to feature my content on a brand's shop if I have a private account?
No, if you have a private account, brands or Meta won't be able to request to use your content on a brand's shop.
Can I turn off the option to receive requests to feature my content?
Yes, you can turn off the option for brands or Meta to request to feature your content at any time.
To turn off requests from brands or Meta:
  1. Tap profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  2. Tap more options in the top right.
  3. Tap Guides and sharing.
  4. Tap Allow requests to feature your posts in shops to turn requests on or off.
Can I change my mind after giving a brand permission to share my content on its shop?
Yes, if you no longer want to allow a brand to use your content, you can remove the content from the brand's shop at any time. Your content will be removed from all surfaces where it appears.
To remove the content:
  1. Go to the original post.
  2. Tap more options in the top right of the post.
  3. Tap Remove from all shops.
If I allow a brand to use my content on its shop, where will my content appear?
When you approve a request to feature your content on a brand's shop, the content will be shown on its shop across Meta Company Products. This includes Facebook if the brand has a shop on Facebook.
The post will only appear on product pages or in other sections of Shops. It won't be shared on the brand's profile, feed or story.
What can I do if I've been tagged in another user's post, but I don't want to show up on a brand's shop?
If you're tagged in a post that has been approved by another user for use on a brand's shop, you can request to remove the content at any time.
To request to remove the content:
  1. Go to the original post.
  2. Tap more options in the top right of the post.
  3. Tap Tag options.
  4. Tap Remove me from post to remove your tag from the post, or tap Remove from all shops to remove the post from the brand's shop.
How do I report a brand?
If you see something on a shop that you think may violate our policies, you can report the brand.
To report a brand on Instagram:
  1. Go to the profile of the brand you want to report.
  2. Tap more options in the top right.
  3. Tap Report and follow the on-screen instructions.
To report a brand on Facebook:
  1. Go to the shop of the brand you want to report.
  2. Tap menu in the top right.
  3. Tap in the top right.
  4. Tap Report this shop and follow the on-screen instructions.
Keep in mind that your report is anonymous, except if you’re reporting an intellectual property infringement. The account you reported won’t see who reported them.

Paid content
How do I know if content from another user on a shop is paid content?
For posts where someone has been paid or entered into a paid partnership with a brand, the post may include the hashtags "paid" or "ad." The post may also contain a "paid partnership" tag.
