You can tag products sold by eligible
shops in your Instagram story. Shops will be notified when you tag their products.
You can tag up to 5 products in your story.
You can only tag products if:
- You have a public account.
- Your content hasn’t been reported for going against our Community Guidelines more than 2 times in the past. Learn how to check your Account Status.
Tag products in stories
To tag a product in your story:
- Swipe right anywhere in feed.
- Tap at the bottom of the screen to take a photo, or tap and hold to record a video.
- Tap at the top, then tap the Product sticker.
- Enter the name or username of a shop at the top. Or, tap a shop in the Product source suggestions.
- Find the product you’d like to tag in the menu. Or, enter the name of the product at the top.
- Tap Add next to the product.
- Tap Done in the top right, then tap Done again.
- Tap , then tap Share.
Things to know
- Stories can have one Product sticker per photo or video.
- Shops can remove Product stickers from stories that feature their products.
- Some shops may limit which users can tag products from their catalogs. Shops may change these settings at any time.
- Your content must meet our Community Guidelines, otherwise product tags may automatically be removed.
- You won’t be paid if someone taps on a product tag in your story and purchases a product.
- If your content features or is influenced by a business partner for an exchange of value, it is considered Branded Content and you must add the paid partnership label. Learn more about our Branded Content Policies.
