  3. Tap more information in the top right.
  4. Tap Block/Unblock, then tap again to confirm.
Block or unblock an account from someone's Instagram profile
  1. Tap their username from their Feed or story post, or tap explore and search their username to go to their profile.
  2. Tap more options in the top right, then tap Block.
  3. Tap Block to confirm.
Keep in mind
  • When you block someone from the Instagram app, it will block their account, other existing accounts they may have or any new accounts they may create.
  • If you choose to block someone's account and other existing accounts they may have or create, this will not apply to other accounts of theirs that you already follow. You’ll need to block those accounts individually.
  • If you’re in a group chat with someone you’ve blocked, you’ll get a dialog asking whether you want to stay in the group or leave. If you choose to stay in the group, you and the blocked person will be able to see each other’s messages in the group.
  • If you don't want to block someone, you can restrict them, delete their comments from your posts, or block multiple people from commenting on your posts.
