Following a decision by the Turkish Competition Authority (TCA), Threads is no longer available to people in Türkiye beginning April 29, 2024. This means that people in Türkiye will not be able to download the Threads app, access Threads from threads.net, create a Threads profile, or use existing Threads profiles.

If you’ve created a Threads profile and are located in Türkiye, your profile will be deactivated, but not deleted. When your profile is deactivated, your profile and its content (examples: your posts, interactions with other posts) won’t be visible to you and others on Threads. You will not be able to reactivate your profile at this time. Note that this will not impact your Instagram account and its data.

While your profile is deactivated, you can still download a copy of your Threads information at any time. You also can choose to delete your Threads profile. Note: if you’ve created multiple Threads profiles, visit threads.net to manage your additional profiles.
