Select a date range for your account insights on Instagram
This feature is only available to business and creator accounts on the Instagram mobile app.
On Instagram, you can view your account Insights for any time period within the past 90 days. You can choose between the 5 preset timeframe options or select your own custom timeframe.
To access account Insights, go to your Instagram profile and tap the Insights button. You can also find insights in your professional dashboard.
To select a preset timeframe:
  1. On the Insights screen, tap the timeframe dropdown at the top left corner of your screen.
  2. Select one of the 5 preset timeframes at the top of your screen. You may need to scroll to the right to see all the options.
    • You can choose from Last 7 days, Last 14 days, Last 30 days, Previous month or Last 90 days.
  3. Tap Update in the top right corner of your screen.
You’ll now be able to see account metrics for your selected preset timeframe. The specific date range will also display in the top right corner.
To view audience demographics, you’ll need to use preset timeframes and reach or engage over 100 accounts. If you can't see audience demographics for the last 7 days, you can try choosing a longer preset timeframe such as Last 30 days, Previous month or Last 90 days.
To select a custom timeframe:
  1. On the Insights screen, tap the timeframe dropdown at the top left corner of your screen.
  2. In the calendar, tap your start date.
  3. Then, tap your end date.
    • Note that your start and end date must be at least 1 day apart, and can’t be the same date. Your selected date range can be anytime within the past 90 days.
  4. Tap Update in the top right corner of your screen.
You’ll now be able to see account metrics for your selected custom timeframe. The specific date range will also display in the top right corner.
