How to manage Appointments on Instagram
This feature may not be available to all users at this time.
Businesses can use Appointments on Instagram to book, edit and manage appointments directly from messenger threads with customers.
Before you begin
  • Your Instagram account needs to be enabled as a business account. Learn more.
How to set up appointments in Instagram
To set up an appointment:
  1. Navigate to the inbox of your Instagram business account and select a message thread.
  2. Tap the plus icon at the bottom right of your screen.
  3. Select Appointments.
  4. Choose an appointment date.
  5. Tap Schedule appointment.
  6. Enter appointment details including Title and Date and time.
  7. Tap Add to add a customer’s contact details or give customers the option to complete their details after sharing.
  8. Tap Schedule appointment at the bottom of your screen to share the appointment in-thread.
How to view and manage appointments in Instagram
To view and manage your appointments:
  1. Navigate to the inbox of your Instagram business account and select a message thread.
  2. Tap the calendar icon .
  3. Select a day to see all appointments booked for that day.
  4. Tap the three dots icon of the appointment you want to edit or cancel.
  5. Tap Edit to change details of your appointment and then tap Save.
  6. Tap Cancel to cancel your appointment.
    1. (Optional) Send a personal message to the customer.
    2. Tap Save.
  7. A notification will appear in your customer’s message thread that the appointment has been changed or canceled. The customer will be able to see updated details of the appointment.
