Create a merchandise launch on Instagram
This feature is only available for creators on Instagram who have a merchandise provider.
If you have an account with a merchandise provider like Spring, Represent, Fanjoy or Universal Music Group, you can create a product launch on Instagram from Meta.
Product launches encourage shoppers to buy one or more of your products as soon as they become available. We recommend that you create a product launch at least three days in advance. Once the launch is set up, you can start tagging your products to generate awareness. When people interact with your product tags, they’ll be able to learn more about your products and set a reminder to purchase them.
Before you begin
To set up product launches for merchandise products on Instagram from Meta:
  • You must be an admin of the Instagram account you're setting up the product launch for.
  • Make sure your products are imported from your merchandise provider.
  • Connect your merchandise account when you create your shop.
Create a merchandise launch
To create a merchandise launch on the Instagram App:
  1. At the top of your profile, tap View Shop.
  2. Tap Menu and choose Manage Shop.
  3. Tap Product Launches.
    Note: If you’re onboarding for the first time, tap Get Started.
  4. Select a product to launch and the launch date.
    Optionally, you can toggle Feature in Shop on switch on so your buyers can view at the top of your shop.
  5. Tap Schedule Launch.
You can choose Share Post in a Story after you schedule your product launch.
Note: If you tap Share Later, you can only tag products or use the product launch sticker afterwards.
You can now go back and review the list of your scheduled product launches. You can edit the launch date at any time. You’ll also have the option to cancel a product launch, but we don’t recommend this since your buyers are likely to set reminders.
If you cancel, you’ll be prompted to remove or keep any products you’ve previously added to your shop.
