How to enable monetization with Ads on Instagram Reels
Monetizing ads in Instagram profile feed and Reels are currently being tested and are only available to a select group of accounts at this time.
If you are eligible for monetization with ads on Instagram Reels, you will receive an invitation on your profile, or through an in-app notification to your Instagram account. Learn more about for Ads on Instagram Reels.
Eligibility requirements to monetize ads on Instagram Reels
- You must pass and remain compliant with Instagram’s Partner Monetization Policies.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be located in the United States, Japan, South Korea or Canada.
- You must have a professional account on Instagram.
How to enable monetization with Ads on Instagram Reels
After agreeing to the terms:
- Navigate to the Business info page. This information will be used to set up your profile and report your taxes.
- If you already have an existing business profile, you can select your existing account and tap Next.
- You can also set up your account by tapping on Add new business info.
- Next, set up your payments.
- If you already have a payout account, select your payment method and tap Confirm payout method.
- You can also set up a new payment method by tapping Add new payout method.
- In the next screen, you will see Monetize with ads on Reels toggled on. Tap Continue to complete the onboarding process.
- You can turn off ads on reels at any time by navigating to your Professional dashboard, tapping on Ads on Reels, and tapping the toggle to turn off Monetize with ads on Reels.
You can now earn money with Ads on Instagram Reels.
