Stop an advertiser from running partnership ads from your Instagram handle
Branded content ads are now called partnership ads.
To run partnership ads, advertisers need permission from the partner whose handle the ad will run from. Creators and partners can revoke these permissions at any time.
Account-level permissions created through Meta Business Suite
With Meta Business Suite, advertisers can start relationships with partners at the account level. Account-level permissions give advertisers permission to create ads from the partner’s handle without pre-existing content, or turn organic content in which they are tagged with the paid partnership label, @mentions, people tags, product tags or Instagram Collabs into partnership ads without the need to share permission at the content-level.
Revoke ad creation access created through Meta Business Suite
  1. In the Instagram app, go to your profile.
  2. Tap more options in the top right.
  3. Tap Business or Creator.
  4. Tap Partnership ads.
  5. Tap Ad partners.
  6. You should see the advertiser under Approved Partners. Tap Remove to revoke their ad creation access.
The advertiser will no longer be able to create partnership ads from your Instagram handle. Any ads that are currently running will be paused.
Account-level permissions created through Brand Collabs Manager
By initiating partnership ad permissions through Brand Collabs Manager, advertisers can create ads in Meta Ads Manager on behalf of the partners they are working with. With these permissions in place, once a partnership ad is published on behalf of the partner, a notification is sent back to them through their Page and in Creator Studio, and the ad will only run once the partner approves.
Revoke account-level permissions created through Brand Collabs Manager
  1. Navigate to Settings in Creator Studio.
  2. Click Remove access from the selected brand in the Ad permissions section.
If your Instagram and Facebook accounts are linked, the advertiser will no longer be able to create partnership ads from your Instagram handle.
Note: Onboarding of new accounts and Pages to Meta Brand Collabs Manager is paused. You can continue to use Brand Collabs Manager with accounts and pages that are already onboarded.
Content-level permissions created in the Instagram app
In the Instagram app, you can give partners permission to boost specific posts, stories or reels as partnership ads in that content's settings. These permissions are shared either by using the partnership ad code or by turning on the Allow brand partner to boost toggle in the content's settings.
Stop active ads created using content-level permissions
  1. In the Instagram app, go to your profile.
  2. Tap more options in the top right.
  3. Tap Business or Creator.
  4. Tap Partnership ads.

  6. Select the partner running the ad you wish to stop from running.
  7. Tap View ad next to the ad you wish to stop from running.
  8. Tap the 3 dots in the top right corner.
