What admins of Instagram broadcast channels can do
Admin controls for broadcast channels are available in the Instagram app for Android and iPhone.
If you create a broadcast channel on Instagram, you’re automatically the admin of the broadcast channel.
As the channel admin, you can:
To change the name or theme
  1. From the broadcast channel, tap the channel name at the top.
  2. Tap Change name.
  3. Enter a name, then tap Save (Android) or Done (iPhone).
  4. Tap Theme. From here you can:
    • Choose a preset theme.
    • Tap Custom to upload your own image and create a custom theme.
To share your channel to a story
  1. After you create your channel, tap Share to story at the top of the channel. You can also find this by tapping the channel name at the top of your conversation, then tapping Share to story.
  2. Choose your story background.
  3. Finish creating your story and tap Your story at the bottom.
To invite or remove a collaborator
  1. At the top of your broadcast channel, tap the channel name.
  2. Tap People.
  3. Tap Add next to Collaborators.
  4. Select people from the list of suggestions or search for someone’s username at the top. To remove any current collaborators, tap Remove next to a person’s name from your list of channel collaborators.
You will receive a notification once someone either accepts or declines the invite to become a collaborator.
Broadcast channels can have up to to 5 collaborators. Like admins, collaborators can send messages to others in your broadcast channel.
Keep in mind that when a user is removed as a collaborator, they’ll still be a member of your channel, but will no longer be able to send messages.
To invite or remove a moderator
  1. At the top of your broadcast channel, tap the channel name.
  2. Tap People.
  3. Tap Add next to Admins & moderators.
  4. Select people from the suggested list or search for someone’s username at the top. Note: people you choose will need to be a member of your channel.
  5. Tap Invite. To remove any current moderators, tap Remove next to a person’s name from your list of channel admins and moderators.
You will receive a notification once someone accepts or declines their invite to become a moderator.
Broadcast channels can have up to 4 moderators. Like admins, moderators can send and remove messages in the channel, manage collaborators and reset the channel invite link.
Keep in mind that when a user is removed as a moderator, they’ll still be a member of the channel.
To delete a broadcast channel
  1. Tap send or messenger in the top right of Feed.
  2. Tap and hold on the conversation (Android) or swipe left on the conversation (iPhone) you'd like to delete.
  3. Tap Delete, then tap Delete to confirm.
Once you delete a channel, it will no longer be visible in anyone's inbox.
