Edit your website settings for shops on Instagram
Beginning on April 24, 2024, existing shops in the US without the checkout method On Facebook and Instagram enabled will no longer be supported. Learn more.
In order to use shops on Instagram, the products tagged must direct to checkout on Instagram or direct to a domain you own and which has the products available for direct purchase. This means the URL for a given product in your catalog must link to your own branded site.
Edit your website settings for shops on Instagram
To switch the domain associated for shops on Instagram:
- In the Instagram app, go to your profile.
- Tap
in the top right.
- Tap Business, then tap Shopping. This will take you to your Shop Settings.
- Tap Website.
- To switch the domain associated with your catalog, you can select from the list under Other Websites in Catalog. If the domain you are looking for is not in this list, you will need to update your catalog.
- Make your selection then tap Select.
- Tap Submit for Review. Your domain will be reviewed to meet our policies. Only one domain can be in review at a time. If your changes are approved, your new domain will be updated in your shop settings. You may also need to verify your domain, please check the app to confirm your status.
Once your new domain is approved, you may also switch your currently used domain with other approved domains under Other Websites in Catalog.
