  2. Tap Not Interested, then tap words Don’t suggest posts with certain words.
  3. Enter a word, phrase, or emoji that you’d like to use to hide suggested posts. Note: You can add multiple items at once by separating each entry with a comma. (Example: entry1, entry2)
  4. Tap Done.
Note that it may take up to 24 hours to no longer see suggested posts that include the items you’ve added to your list.

  1. Tap profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  2. Tap more options in the top right.
  3. Tap Suggested content.
  4. Tap Specific words and phrases.
Keep in mind
The items you add to your custom words and phrases list will:
  • Need to be an exact match to hashtags used in a suggested post in order to hide the post.
  • Not hide posts from accounts you follow even if captions or hashtags in posts they share include any items from your list.
  • Not impact suggested posts you see when visiting your account from instagram.com.
  • Only apply to hashtags and captions of suggested posts. This means that you may still see suggested posts with comments that contain items in your list.
