About reminder ads
This feature is only available to professional accounts on Instagram.
Reminder ads allow people on Instagram to connect with, keep track of and tune in to the moments and events that matter to them. Whether you’re announcing a movie premier, selling concert tickets or promoting a product launch, reminder ads get your event in front of more people and encourage them to engage when it matters. You can create a reminder ad in Meta Ads Manager.
When you create a reminder ad, people on Instagram can set a reminder from the ad itself or from Instagram's in-app browser. If they opt in to receiving reminders, they receive notifications before and during the event.
Use reminder ads to support your event with:
  • Awareness. Create a reminder ad with event details so your audience can learn about your upcoming event.
  • Consideration. Encourage people to set reminders so they don’t forget to attend your event.
  • Attendance. Notify people who have set reminders for your event before it starts, increasing the likelihood that they attend or tune-in.
  • Conversion. Drive people to take action when it matters most to achieve your business goals.
Eligibility summary for reminder ads
  • Placement: Instagram Feed, Instagram Stories and Instagram Reels
  • Format: Single image, video and carousel
  • Objective: Engagement and Awareness
  • Optimization: Reminders set, Thruplay views and Reach
Note: Reminder ads are not compatible with scheduled live events, which display as Live video, when creating Instagram Feed posts with reminders. To create an Instagram post with a reminder that is compatible with reminder ads, you must create or select events that display as an Online event.
