Request to block fediverse users on Threads
Our Beta experience for sharing to the fediverse is currently only available to Threads profiles in certain areas.

When someone turns on sharing to the fediverse, users on other servers can search for and follow their Threads profile, view their Threads posts, and interact with and share their Threads content with anyone on or off another fediverse server. Learn more about Threads and the fediverse.
If you’ve turned on sharing to the fediverse on Threads, you can request to block users who are on other servers in the fediverse.
Request to block users on other servers
Threads app for Android and iPhone
  1. Tap profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  2. Tap settings in the top right.
  3. Tap Privacy, then tap Block users in fediverse.
  4. Below External server username, enter the user’s username (example: @someone@fediverseserver.com).
  5. Tap Send request.
After you’ve submitted a request, we will send your request to block a user from interacting with your Threads content on that server. We can’t guarantee the server will block them.
Note that requesting to block a user on another server will not also block their Threads profile. Learn how to block a profile on Threads.
