Profile name eligibility for Meta Verified creator subscriptions

Meta Verified creators that have successfully completed the verification process can update their profile name once every 3 days.
Note: This feature may not be available to all regions or creators.
Profile name eligibility
You can use the legal name on your government-issued photo ID. You may also be eligible to use another name that meets the naming standards in this article.
Note: The option to use a name other than the name on your ID is slowly rolling out and isn’t available to everyone yet.
Per eligibility and where available, you can use your legal name or another name if your profile:
- Meets our Meta Verified eligibility requirements.
- Agree to our Terms of Service and follow our Instagram Terms of Use and Instagram Community Guidelines.
Profile name formats
We accept the following formats for profile names that don’t match your legal name on your government-issued photo ID:
- Abbreviations (example: Sid for Siddharth)
- Spelling variations (example: Maria vs Marya)
- First initials (example: LM for Lisa Marie)
- Compound names (example: Mary vs Mary-Lou)
The following formats are not accepted for profile names:
- Symbols, numbers, unusual capitalization, repeating characters, or punctuation
- Characters from multiple languages
- Certain titles (example: religious titles)
- Offensive or suggestive words of any kind
