You can control your Instagram messaging connections across different apps. If you turn on access to Instagram Direct Messages, you can view or send Instagram Direct Messages on Facebook Pages, Meta Business Suite, Business Manager, and other third-party apps you use to manage your account. If you turn off access, you can only view and send Instagram Direct Messages from Instagram.

1. Go to your profile and tap in the upper right corner.
2. Select Messages and story replies.
3. Select Message controls.
4. Under Connected Tools, you can toggle on or off Allow Access to Messages.
• If you turn it on, anyone with approved access to Facebok Pages, Meta Business Suite, Business Manager, and other connected third-party apps can view and send messages from your Instagram account.
• If you turn it off, you’ll only be able to view and send messages from your Instagram account.

Now, you’ve finished setting your Instagram messaging connections across apps. You can go back and change these settings at any time. You can also manage your Instagram messaging access in Meta Business Suite.
