Transfer your information to a service off of Instagram

You can access to this setting under Your information and permissions in Accounts Center or through your Instagram settings.

You can transfer a copy of some of your information, including posts and stories, to another service by using Transfer a copy of your information.

Note: If you’d like to download all your information, go to the Download your information tool.

What information can and can’t be transferred:

Stories:

You can transfer a copy of stories that you’ve created, including stories from your archive and stories that you shared with close friends.

Posts:

You can transfer a copy of posts with content you’ve shared on Instagram, except:

Transfer a copy of your information from Accounts Center:

Tap or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
Tap in the top right.
Tap Accounts Center
Tap Your information and permissions.
Tap Transfer a copy of your information.
Select the profile you'd like to transfer information from.
Select All your stories and posts or Some of your stories and posts, then tap Next.
If you choose to transfer just some information, you can then select if you’d like to transfer a copy of your stories and posts, and the date range. Tap Next.
Select where you want to transfer your information.

You might need to login to an account you have with another company to move forward with your transfer (for example, Google Photos).

You can also access this setting in Your activity.

Transfer a copy of your information in Your activity

Tap or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
Tap in the top right.
Below How you use Instagram, tap Your activity.
Tap Transfer your information.
Select the profile you'd like to transfer information from.
Select All your stories and posts or Some of your stories and posts, then tap Next.
If you choose to transfer just some information, you can then select if you’d like to transfer a copy of your stories and posts, and the date range. Tap Next.
Select where you want to transfer your information.

You might need to login to an account you have with another company to move forward with your transfer (for example, Google Photos).
