Add a profile picture or change your current picture on Instagram
Add or change your Instagram profile picture
- Tap
or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Tap Edit picture or avatar, then select where you'd like to import your picture from.
- Tap Done after making your changes.
Add or change your Instagram profile picture in Accounts Center
- Tap
- Tap
in the top right.
- Tap See more in Accounts Center, then tap Profiles.
- Tap on the profile for which you'd like to add or change your profile picture.
- Tap Profile picture.
- Tap Upload new photo.
- From here, you can upload a new photo.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to save your changes.
You can take a new photo or add a photo from your phone's photo library or Facebook. If you choose to import from Facebook, Instagram will use the same picture you're already using for your Facebook profile.
Note: Your Instagram profile picture can be associated with you and is public to everyone, on or off Instagram, even if they don’t have an Instagram account.
