Review an item you purchased on Instagram
Currently, you can only review products from the Instagram for iPhone or Android app.
You may be asked to review products that you purchased from a shop on Instagram.
Review something that you purchased on Instagram
  1. In the Instagram app, go to a post that says How would you rate this item?
  2. Tap to choose a rating from 1-5.
  3. Enter text to add a review. You can also tap add to include a photo.
  4. Tap Finish to submit your review.
You can also choose to rate or review products that you purchased from a shop on Instagram at any time from the product page.
Review a product from your order history
  1. In the Instagram app for iPhone or Android, tap instagram-user-profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  2. Tap more options in the top right.
  3. Tap Orders and Payments.
  4. Tap the order you want to review, then tap Add Review.
  5. Tap to choose a rating from 1-5.
  6. Enter text to add a review. You can also tap to include a photo.
  7. Tap Finish to submit your review.
Review a product from Your Reviews
  1. In the Instagram app for iPhone or Android, tap instagram-user-profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  2. Tap more options in the top right.
  3. Tap Your Reviews, then tap next to the item you want to review to choose a rating from 1-5.
  4. Enter text to add a review. You can also tap to include a photo.
  5. Tap Finish to submit your review.
Review a product from the product page
  1. In the Instagram app for iPhone or Android, tap instagram-user-profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  2. Tap more options in the top right.
  3. Tap Orders and payments.
  4. Below Activity, tap your order.
  5. Tap the item you want to review.
  6. Tap Leave a review.
  7. Tap to choose a rating from 1-5.
  8. Enter text to add a review. You can also tap to include a photo.
  9. Tap Finish to submit your review.
You can also add a new review from the product page by tapping See all next to Reviews, then tapping in the top right.
Note: All reviews on Instagram are subject to review and must follow our Community Guidelines and Community Feedback Policy. You may also see reviews synced from other commerce websites on Instagram.
How do I delete a review I wrote?
Delete a review you wrote
  1. In the Instagram app for iPhone or Android, go to the product page where you submitted a review.
  2. Tap the stars under the product name to see all reviews.
  3. Find your review, then swipe left on your review.
  4. Tap , then tap Delete to confirm.
Delete multiple reviews you've written
  1. Tap profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  2. Below How you use Instagram, tap Your activity.
  3. Below Interactions, tap Reviews.
  4. Tap Select in the top right, then tap to the right of the reviews you’d like to delete. To filter your reviews before making your choices:
    • Tap newest to oldest to sort reviews chronologically.
    • Tap All dates to filter reviews in a specific date range.
  5. Tap Apply.
  6. Tap Delete at the bottom. Tap Delete.
Note: If you want a review that you wrote on a seller’s website deleted from Instagram, you must contact the seller to have the review deleted.
How do I stop a quote from my review from being used as a testimonial in a shop?
Quotes from reviews you write can be selected for use as a testimonial for a product or shop. Testimonials include your profile picture and username. To remove the testimonial, delete your review (see “How do I delete a review I wrote” above).
Note: If you want a review that you wrote on a seller's website deleted from Instagram, you must contact the seller to have the review deleted.
How do I report a review for a product?
You can report product reviews that don't follow our Community Guidelines and Community Feedback Policy. We'll review your report and will remove reviews that don't follow our policies.
To report a review on a product for sale on Instagram:
  1. On the product page, go to the review you want to report.
  2. Swipe left on the review, then tap .
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to report the review.

Who can see reviews that I write?
When you rate and review a product, the review is public once published and will be shown on the product page and any other surface where the product appears on Facebook and Instagram.
The review will include your public profile picture and username. The review won't show up on your profile, and followers won’t be notified that you’ve submitted a review.
How will my data be used?
As with our other products, the actions you take on Facebook and Instagram can be used for purposes such as to deliver you more relevant content and ads, to provide customer support, and to promote safety and integrity.

How are product ratings calculated?
The overall product rating is primarily calculated using machine learning models that take into account all of a specific product’s ratings and reviews that meet our Community Guidelines and Community Feedback Policy. To more accurately reflect people’s experience with the product, the overall rating considers factors like verified purchases, recency and review authenticity, rather than using a simple average of the product’s ratings and reviews.
We will continue to refine our product rating models over time in an effort to establish trust between people and businesses on our platform.
