What creators see when you purchase a badge on Instagram
For every badge purchased during an Instagram live, you will receive a notification with the message: “Thanks for supporting @ creator.“ The creator is notified when someone buys a badge to support their Instagram live. Creators who host live videos with badges can see a list of supporters and badges purchased during the live for up to 90 days.
- For the first badge purchased during an Instagram live:
- You will receive a notification with the message: “Thanks for buying the first badge to support @ creator!”
- The creator who is hosting the live will also receive a notification letting them know about your support. In addition to this notification, creators can see a list of supporters and badges purchased during the live for up to 90 days.
- The creator and others watching the live will be able to view a heart icon displaying the total number of badges purchased in the comments field during the Instagram live.
- For your first three badges purchased during an Instagram live:
- You will receive a notification with the message: “You bought 3 badges! Your profile photo will now glow, so that your comments stand out in this live video.”
- The creator who is hosting the live will receive a notification about every supporter who purchases three badges during an Instagram live. In addition to this notification, creators can see a list of supporters and badges purchased during the live for up to 90 days.
- Your profile photo will glow for the duration of that live video, and an icon of a heart will appear next your name indicating the total number of badges purchased
- The creator and others watching the live will be able to view your glowing profile photo in the comments field during the Instagram live.
- The creator and others watching the live will be able to view a heart icon displaying the total number of badges purchased in the comments field during the Instagram live.
- For badges purchased consecutively for a creator over three separate lives:
- The creator who is hosting the live will receive a notification letting them know about your support.
- The creator and others watching the live will be able to view a heart icon in the comments field during the Instagram live.
