Start a group chat on Instagram
You can start a group chat on Instagram to send a message to 2 or more people.
Create a new group chat
To start a group chat:
- Tap
or
in the top right of Feed.
- Tap
in the top right.
- Search for two or more people's usernames at the top.
- From here, you can:
- Type a message.
- Tap
to select a photo or video from your library. - Tap
to take a new photo or video. You can add optional effects, filters and a caption. Select View Once, Allow Replay or Keep in Chat.
- Tap Send.
