View and reply to disappearing photos and videos in Instagram chats
If someone sends you a disappearing photo or video, you can see and reply to it in chats on Instagram. Note that you can only reply directly to a disappearing photo or video as it's playing.
View and reply to disappearing photos and videos
- Tap
or
in the top right of Feed.
- From here, you can either:
- Tap the blue play button beside the chat name in your Chats list to view the message.
- Tap a chat name to open the conversation, then tap View Photo or Play Video.
- To reply, tap the message box below the photo or video as you view the message.
- Enter your message or tap
to take a photo or video, then tap Send.
