How to turn Instagram Gifts on or off on reels
Instagram Gifts are available to select creators at this time.
Instagram gifts allow you to earn money from fans who show you their appreciation. Instagram gifts are automatically turned on for creators who are eligible.
You can turn off gifts at any time in your Professional Dashboard. Here you will find the option to Allow gifts on reels, which you can use to turn on or off gifting on all your reels. In addition, if you want to turn gifts off for a particular reel, you can click advanced settings when creating a reel and toggle off Allow gifts on this reel.
How to turn on or off gifts for reels on your Instagram profile
- Go to your profile in the Instagram App.
- Tap Professional Dashboard.
- Under Your Tools, tap Gifts.
- Tap Allow gifts on reels to turn off this feature. This will turn off the ability for people to send gifts to any of your reels on your profile. Tap again to allow viewers to send gifts on previously created reels or future reels. Now viewers can send you their appreciation on already existing and future reels with Instagram gifts.
How to turn off gifts for a single reels on Instagram
Go to your profile in the Instagram App.
To turn off gifts for a single reel when creating a post:
- Tap Advanced settings.
- Tap the toggle to turn off Allow gifts on this reel.
Fans will not be able to send gifts on this reel.
To turn off gifts for a single reel when viewing a post:
- Tap the three dots on the right side of the reel.
- Tap Manage.
- Tap Turn off gifts.
Fans will not be able to send gifts on this reel.
