How to create exclusive content for Instagram Subscriptions

Instagram Subscriptions allow you to monetize by offering exclusive content and benefits to your most engaged followers at a monthly fee.
After onboarding for Instagram Subscriptions, you can go through these steps to create exclusive content for your subscribers.
Note: Although you can continue to use music from our music library in non-subscription content, that music is generally not available for subscriber-only content. For subscriber-only content, you can only use music from Meta's Sound Collection or music that you own and are specifically authorized to use. See Creator Terms of Use for more details.
How to create exclusive stories on Instagram Subscriptions
  1. Go through the steps of creating an Instagram story.
  2. Click on the arrow in the bottom navigation to access sharing options.
  3. Select Subscribers from the list of audience choices.
  4. Tap Done.
You can then proceed with the rest of your story settings and post your story to your subscribers.
How to create exclusive Lives on Instagram Subscriptions
  1. Go through the steps of starting a Live broadcast on Instagram.
  2. For Live broadcasts, tap Audience from the list of choices when setting up your Live. For scheduled Live broadcasts, tap Audience on the Live Video screen.
  3. Select Subscribers.
  4. Tap Set Audience.
You can then proceed with the rest of your Live settings and either go Live or schedule your Live broadcast.
How to create exclusive posts on Instagram Subscriptions
  1. Go through the steps of creating an Instagram post.
  2. Once you are on the Share screen, toggle on Share with subscribers only.
  3. Tap Share.
Your post will then be shared exclusively with your subscribers.
How to create exclusive reels on Instagram Subscriptions
  1. Go through the steps of creating an Instagram reel.
  2. Once you are on the Share screen, toggle on Share with subscribers only.
  3. Tap Share.
Your reel will then be shared exclusively with your subscribers.
How to start exclusive broadcast channels on Instagram Subscriptions
  1. Tap send or messenger in the top right of your Feed.
  2. Tap compose in the top right.
  3. Select Subscriber broadcast channel.
  4. Give your broadcast a name. Note: Your broadcast channel photo cannot be changed.
  5. Tap Create broadcast channel.
  6. Send a message to your subscribers in the broadcast channel. Note: When you send the first message, your subscribers will receive a notification inviting them to join your broadcast channel and tap Join to opt in. Only subscribers who follow you can preview and join your broadcast channel.
Your broadcast channels are discoverable by anyone on Instagram, but only your subscribers can join. You can find your broadcast channel in the Instagram app by tapping send or messenger in the top right, then tapping Channels at the top.
You can also invite your subscribers to join by using an invite link or sharing it in your stories. Note: The invite link to your broadcast channel can’t be turned off. However, you can reset it to generate a new link at any time. Up to 1 million people can join a broadcast channel.
