Add a payout account on Instagram
This product or feature may not be available to you yet.
This feature is only available for business and creator accounts on Instagram.
Before you can receive a payout, you must set up a payout account on Instagram. When you earn money using our monetization tools, you’ll receive earnings to your payout account.
You can manually enter your bank account details or link to a PayPal account, or sign in to your online bank account using your account credentials. Learn what information is needed to set up a payout account
Before you begin
Before you can receive a payout, you must:
- Meet Instagram's Partner Monetization Policies and Content Monetization Policies.
- Have met the minimum earnings threshold for the tool or bonus scheme. Note: You must add a payout account to receive a bonus payout. If you don’t add a payout account:
- Within 5 months or if you exceed earnings of $500, you’ll no longer be able to monetize with bonuses.
- Within 6 months, you’ll forfeit and waive all rights to receive your payment.
How to add payout account
To add a payout account in the professional dashboard:
- Go to Payouts.
- Select Update payout method.
- Select the type of payout account you’d like to add to your professional account.
- Follow the prompts to complete setup. Note: You can have separate payout accounts for each monetization tool.
If you haven’t added your payment details and have already met the minimum earnings for payout, you will receive an email alert from us and a notification on the Instagram app prompting you to add your payment details in the professional dashboard to receive your earnings.
How to edit a payout account
To edit a payout account in the professional dashboard:
- Choose the monetization tool you want to edit your payout account for.
- Select Payout account.
- Select the type of payout account you’d like to add to your professional account.
- Follow the prompts to complete setup.
Note: You can have separate payout accounts for each monetization tool.
Update company name
If you’re changing your Company Name because of a legal name change, please contact us.
After you’ve submitted your request, we’ll follow up via email and your Support Inbox within 24 hours. Keep in mind, we may ask for additional information when you contact us, so make sure you have any supporting documentation ready.
