Update your personal information on Instagram
You'll need to log into your account before you're able to update your profile information. Not everyone will be able to access this setting in Accounts Center at this time.
Your personal information on Instagram includes your email, phone number, gender and birthday. The information you update here won’t be part of your public profile on Instagram.
To update your personal information from your profile:
- Tap
or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
- Tap
in the top right, then tap
Settings.
- Tap Account, then tap Personal Information.
- From here, you can:
- Tap below E-mail Address to update your email. Tap Save in the top right, then tap OK. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your email address.
- Tap below Phone number to add or update your phone number. Tap Next.
- Tap below Gender to add or update your gender. If you select Custom, type your gender. Tap Save in the top right.
- Tap below Birthday to update your birthday. Select your birthday then tap Save in the top right. If you’ve connected your Facebook account, you’ll need to edit it on Facebook to change it on Instagram.
