Delete posts you've shared on Instagram
You can delete posts you've shared on Instagram at any time.
Delete your post
To delete a photo, reel or video that you've posted:
- Choose a post.
- Tap
above your post, then tap Delete.
- Tap Delete again to confirm.
Delete multiple posts you've shared
To delete multiple photos, reels or videos you’ve posted at once:
- Tap
or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
- Tap
in the top right.
- Below How you use Instagram, tap Your activity.
- Below Content you shared, tap
Posts .
- Tap Select in the top right, then tap
on the posts you’d like to delete. To filter your posts before making your choices:
- Tap newest to oldest to sort posts chronologically.
- Tap All dates to filter posts in a specific date range.
- Tap Apply.
- Tap Delete at bottom. Tap Delete to confirm.

You can also archive posts to hide them from your profile and make it so your followers and other people on Instagram can't see it.
