Schedule a live broadcast on Instagram
You can schedule a live broadcast anywhere from 1 hour in advance to up to 90 days in advance to connect with your followers.
Schedule a live broadcast
- Tap
at the bottom or swipe right anywhere in Feed.
- Tap Live at the bottom.
- Tap
Schedule on the left.
- Enter a video title and select a start time, then tap Done.
- Tap Schedule live video at the bottom.
- If you want to share your scheduled live broadcast, tap Share and select how you would like to share it. Posts and stories you share will include the title and start time of your live broadcast and an option to set a reminder for people who want to see your live broadcast.
Your soonest scheduled live broadcast will appear on your profile below your profile picture. Tap it to share, edit or cancel it. You'll receive a notification reminding you about your scheduled live broadcast 24 hours and 15 mins before the time you selected.
Managing scheduled live broadcasts
To manage live broadcasts you've scheduled:
- Tap
- Tap Live at the bottom.
- Tap
- Tap
next to the scheduled live video you want to manage.
- From here you can:
- Tap Edit to change the title or start time of your scheduled live broadcast or tap Cancel live video at the bottom to cancel it, then tap OK to confirm.
- Tap Share as post or Share to story to share your scheduled live broadcast as a post in Feed or a your story.
You can change the start time of your live broadcast up until 45 minutes before it's scheduled to start.
