About affiliate content on Facebook and Instagram
Instagram’s current affiliate program will end in August. From August 31, creators will no longer be able to tag commission-eligible products, and existing content will no longer earn commission. Learn more.
Affiliate allows creators to share products and earn commission for sales.
Affiliate content is defined as any type of content shared by an affiliate creator which includes a link, tag or mention of eligible products.
This can include content shared on Facebook or Instagram.
What affiliate content is
On Instagram, feed posts, Stories, live videos and Reels can all be affiliate content if they are shared by an eligible creator and include affiliate products.
On Facebook, affiliate content can include images or video posts.
How affiliate content is disclosed
Affiliate content will automatically be disclosed with a label explaining that the creator is eligible for commission.
Affiliate creators must comply with our Affiliate Tool Terms.
Where to find affiliate content featuring your products
If you are a business with an affiliate program, you can view all content featuring your products in the creator content tab.
