Reject an Instagram affiliate commission
Instagram’s current affiliate program will end in August. From August 31, creators will no longer be able to tag commission-eligible products, and existing content will no longer earn commission. Learn more.
Affiliate allows creators to tag products and earn commission for sales of your products.
If you have an affiliate program, you can review Affiliate Orders of your products and reject a commission where necessary.
For instance, you may wish to reject commission if a product has been returned in-store, and therefore has not been refunded automatically by Meta.
Note: rejecting a commission is permanent and cannot be undone, so make sure you are certain you wish to cancel the commission for an order before proceeding.
How to reject an affiliate commission on Instagram
To reject a commission in Commerce Manager:
  1. Click Promotions in the left-hand toolbar, and then click Affiliate.
  2. Click on the Affiliate orders tab to see all orders of your affiliate products.
  3. Find the order you wish to reject, and click the three dots [...] on the right-hand side.
Note: You can search by order ID or by creator to find the correct order.
  4. Click Reject commission.
  5. Select a reason for the rejection. If necessary, you can write in a reason by selecting Other.
  6. Click Reject commission to confirm.
  7. Review the details of the rejected commission. If you wish to proceed, click Yes, reject commission.
  8. Click OK to confirm.
The commission will be canceled and will not be paid to the creator.

Note: Currently, you can reject a commission up to 90 days after the sale, or up to 7 days after the return window you have set, whichever is larger.
