About Meta Verified for Instagram profiles
Meta Verified is a paid subscription for eligible profiles to establish their presence on Instagram and Facebook.
This subscription comes with benefits that are only available for eligible profiles that successfully complete the verification process.

Verification process
If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can subscribe up to two eligible profiles (one Instagram and one Facebook) for a discounted price. You can also get a discounted price when you add a second profile to an existing subscription.
Select your profile and set up payment.
You’ll choose which profile(s) you want to subscribe and set up your subscription payment.

Secure your account.
You’ll need to enable two-factor authentication on your account. This security feature requires you to enter a login code each time you access your account on a device we don’t recognize.
Confirm your identity.
You’ll need to upload photos of your government-issued photo ID to confirm your identity and complete the verification process. Once you submit this, we’ll review it and update your verification status after the review is complete. This process can take up to 2 days.
After verification
After you successfully complete the verification process, you’ll receive access to Meta Verified benefits, including account support.
Your verified badge will be displayed:
- On your profile(s)
- In the comments section next to your profile picture
- In search results next to your name and profile picture
- In direct messages next to your profile picture
- In Reels, Stories, and Feed
Once you begin the verification process and submit your initial payment, you won’t be able to change your username or date of birth on Instagram. To update this information, you’ll need to cancel your subscription and re-subscribe.
All Meta Verified subscribers must follow our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.
Note: If you provide false or misleading information during the verification process, Meta may prevent your profile from being verified or take additional action on the account.
