About Meta Verified for Instagram profiles
Meta Verified is a paid subscription for eligible profiles to establish their presence on Instagram and Facebook.
This subscription comes with benefits that are only available for eligible profiles that successfully complete the verification process.

Verification process
You can subscribe your Instagram profile to Meta Verified if you meet the eligibility requirements.
Select a profile.
You’ll choose which profile you want to verify. You can subscribe up to two profiles (one Instagram and one Facebook) for a discounted price.
Note: Purchasing a Meta Verified subscription on Instagram won’t automatically transfer over to your Facebook profile, unless you subscribe two profiles or add a second profile to your subscription.
Set up payment.
You’ll make your first subscription payment, after which you’ll be charged automatically on the same day each month. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

Verify your identity.
You’ll upload photos of your government-issued ID to confirm your identity and complete the verification process. Once you’ve submitted this, we’ll review it and update your verification status after the review is complete. This process can take up to 2 days.
After verification
After you successfully complete the verification process, you’ll receive access to Meta Verified benefits, including customer support.
Your verified badge will be displayed:
- On your profile
- In the comments section next to your profile picture
- In search results next to your name and profile picture
- In direct messages next to your profile picture
- In Reels, Stories, and Feed
All Meta Verified subscribers must follow our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.
If you already have an existing verified badge based on prior requirements, you can still sign up for Meta Verified.
