Add audio to your post on Instagram
Once you've taken or uploaded a photo, you can add music before sharing it.
Instagram app for Android
  1. Tap at the top, then scroll to Post at the bottom.
  2. Take a photo or choose one from your phone's library.
  3. Tap , then tap again in the top right.
  4. Tap Add music. You can select a song from the list or search for a song in our music library.
  5. Use the sliding bar at the bottom to choose which part of the song you want to play with your photo.
  6. TapDone, then tap Done in the top right again.
Instagram app for iPhone
  1. Tap at the top, then scroll to Post at the bottom.
  2. Take a photo or choose one from your phone's library.
  3. Tap Next, then tap Next again in the top right.
  4. Tap Add music. You can select a song from the list or search for a song in our music library.
  5. Use the sliding bar at the bottom to choose which part of the song you want to play with your photo.
  6. Tap Done, then tap Share in the top right.
