In order to send Instagram gifts, you need to have a Stars balance on Instagram. Your Facebook Stars balance can’t be used to send gifts, and stars must be used on the app where they’re purchased.

When you purchase stars and update your balance Instagram app, you’ll be prompted to check out with payment methods stored in your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account.

Note: Payment methods for gifts or stars can’t be updated through Meta Pay on Instagram. Please visit the App Store or Google Play to update your payment information.
