Why am I unable to subscribe to a creator?
This feature may not be available to you yet.
If you're unable to subscribe to a creator, it may be because:
  • Your payments account is disabled. If you're unable to purchase Subscriptions, check to see if your App or Google Play Store account has been disabled.
  • Subscriptions are unavailable for the creator. If you can access Subscriptions for one creator, but not for another creator, Subscriptions may not be available to that creator.
  • You've been added to a creator's Subscription waitlist. Access to Instagram Subscriptions is continuing to roll out globally. If you're unable to subscribe to a creator at this time, their Subscription may not be available to you yet. You’ll receive a notification on the Instagram app as soon as it becomes available.
  • Your version of the app is outdated. If you haven’t updated your app in awhile, check the App or Google Play Store to download the latest version of the Instagram app.
  • You're not currently logged in. If you're not logged into your Instagram account, you need to log into your Instagram account to access Subscriptions.
  • You're in an ineligible country. If you're unable to access Subscriptions, make sure that both you and the creator are located in a country eligible for Subscriptions. Subscriptions can be purchased in almost every country, except in Cuba, Iran, Ukraine, North Korea, Syria.
  • Your account was recently created. If your Instagram account was created within the past 30 days, Subscriptions will be available when your account age exceeds 30 days.
  • You may have been removed as a subscriber. The creator, or Instagram, may have removed you as a subscriber. In this instance, your Subscription would be cancelled and a refund would not be automatically processed. Contact the App Store or Play Store directly to request a refund.
