Hashtag and Location Stories on Explore

To see the page for a location or hashtag, you can search for it or tap the hashtag or location that appears on a post.

Hashtag and location pages include public photos and videos that were shared with the corresponding hashtag or location. You can tap at the top of these pages to see public stories, and scroll down to see public posts.

If your account is set to private, only your approved followers will be able to see posts you've shared, and photos and videos from your story won't appear on hashtag or location pages.

If your account is set to public, and you share a photo or video to your story that contains a hashtag, location or location-based sticker, it may appear on that hashtag or location page.

When a photo or video from your story is visible on a hashtag or location page, you'll see the name of that page when you look at who's seen your story. From there, you can tap x to the right of the page to hide your story from it.

After you upload or take a photo or video and add any effects or filters you want, you can add your location. To add your location:

  1. Tap Add Location.
  2. Find your location in the suggestions or search for the location and select it.
  3. Tap Share.

You can also use a public Facebook event as a location. Just like a location page, you can tap the event name to view all photos and videos shared publicly at that event or location.

You can also add or edit the location of a photo or video you've already posted.
