How do I create a poll in a direct message on Instagram?
This feature may be unavailable for countries located in Europe.
You can create a poll in a direct message on the Instagram app for Android and iOS to ask a question, customize the answers and see how people vote.
To create a poll in a direct message:
- Tap
or
in the top right of Feed.
- Tap a username or group name to open the conversation. You can also start a new conversation by tapping
in the top right and selecting people you want to message.
- Open the camera and take a photo or video.
- Tap
then tap Poll.
- Enter your question and answers, then tap Done. You can also move or resize the poll sticker.
- Tap Send.
To see how people voted on your poll:
- Tap
or
in the top right of Feed.
- Tap the message or messages where you sent the poll.
- You can see how someone voted below the photo you sent. If it's a group message, you may need to tap See Updates to see each person's response.
Keep in mind that if you created a group message, people in the message can't see each other's responses to the poll.
