Add a photo or video to someone else's post on Instagram
You can add a photo or video to a post if the post’s author has allowed contributors. Posts with contributors can have a maximum of 20 photos or videos.
- No one can see what you add until the author approves it.
- Approved photos and videos include your name and profile picture.
- Your photo or video will only be seen on the post you added it to, and it won’t be shared to your Feed or profile.
- You can delete your photo or video from the post at any time.
Note: If your profile is private, people who follow the author will be able to see your photo or video. If the author has a public account, it can be seen publicly. This doesn’t affect your account privacy.
Add a photo or video to someone else’s post
- Tap Add to post on the post in Feed.
- Select a photo or video to add to the post, or tap
to take a new photo or video.
- Tap Add to post at the bottom.
Your photo or video will be sent to the original creator of the post for approval.
Delete your photo or video from a post
- Tap
in the top right of the post.
- Tap Delete my media from this post.
- Tap Delete.
