How to add shopping stickers to Instagram stories
You can no longer add swipe up to Instagram Stories. Add a link sticker or shopping sticker instead.
Businesses, shopping partners and qualified public Instagram accounts in the US can add shopping stickers to Instagram stories from brands with shops on Instagram. Learn more about shopping tags on Instagram.
Before you begin
  • If you're a business, you must be approved and set up for Instagram Shopping.
  • If you’re 18 years old or older with a qualified and public Instagram account, you’re able to tag products:
    • If your account is active over the past 30 days and has no more than 2 policy violations.
    • Or, if a business has approved your access to tag their products as a shopping partner or affiliate creator. Go to Account Settings to confirm that you’re added as a shopping partner or affiliate creator with permission to tag products.
  • You can add one sticker (with up to 5 products tagged) per story.
  • You can use the shopping sticker with additional stickers (e.g. polls), highlights and videos.

If a business removes a shopping partner from their list of accounts approved for product tagging, they can still see insights about the story unless the story is deleted or the product tag is removed.
