When you make a post on Instagram, you can allow other users to add photos and videos to your post. Posts with contributors can have a maximum of 20 photos or videos.
- No one can see these photos and videos unless you approve them.
- Approved photos and videos include the contributors’ usernames.
- Added photos and videos can only be seen from your post, which will not be shared to contributors’ Feeds or profiles.
- You can remove a photo or video or turn off this feature at any time.
Allow others to add photos or videos to your post
- Tap at the bottom or swipe right anywhere in Feed.
- Select up to 10 photos and videos from your camera roll to add to your post, or take a new photo or video by tapping on the right.
- Tap Next in the top right to edit your post, then tap Next again when you’re done editing.
- Tap next to Allow others to add to this post to let people add photos or videos to your post.
You can also allow others to add to your post after sharing by tapping
in the top right of the post, then tapping
Allow adding media.
Approve or decline submissions
- Tap in the top right to view your notifications.
- Select the notification about the post.
- Tap submissions to review at the bottom of your post.
- Tap Approve to add a photo or video to your post, or tap Decline to remove a pending request.
Delete a photo or video that you approved
- Go to your post and swipe right to find the photo or video you want to delete.
- Tap in the top right, then tap Edit.
- Tap in the top left to delete the photo or video, then tap Delete to confirm.
Note: You can turn off allowing others to add to your post by tapping
in the top right of the post, then tapping
Turn off adding media. Photos and videos that were added prior to turning off this feature will remain in the post unless you delete them.
