What to know before you cancel

  • When you cancel your subscription, you’ll lose access to all Meta Verified benefits, including support, at the end of your current billing cycle.
  • You need to cancel at least 24 hours before your next payment date to avoid getting charged for another billing cycle.
  • If you purchased your subscription through Apple, Apple’s policies only allow you to cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store.
  • If you purchased your subscription through Google, Google’s policies only allow you to cancel your subscription through the Google Play Store.

Note: Steps may differ depending on where you purchased your subscription.

Instagram mobile app (iPhone)
If you purchased your subscription through Apple, you’ll need to cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store.

If you purchased your subscription through Google, you’ll need to cancel your subscription through the Google Play Store.

Instagram website (Desktop)
To cancel your Meta Verified subscription on Instagram:
  1. Log into your verified Instagram account on a computer.
  2. Click menu in the bottom left, then click Meta Verified.
  3. Click Manage subscription.
  4. Click Cancel subscription.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Facebook mobile app (iPhone)
If you purchased your subscription through Apple, you’ll need to cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store.

If you purchased your subscription through Google, you’ll need to cancel your subscription through the Google Play Store.

Facebook website (Desktop)
To cancel your Meta Verified subscription on Facebook:
  1. Log into your verified Facebook account on a computer.
  2. Click your profile picture in the top right.
  3. Click Settings & privacy, then click Settings.
  4. Click Accounts Center in the left menu, then click Meta Verified.
  5. Click Manage subscription.
  6. Click Cancel subscription.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions.

After cancellation

Once you cancel your subscription, you’ll continue having access to Meta Verified benefits until the end of your current billing cycle. Any open conversations or cases with the support team will be closed after that billing cycle ends.
If you want to restart your subscription after canceling, you can re-subscribe.
Note: When you resubscribe, you may only see the option to sign up for a business plan instead of the original creator plan you subscribed to. This may happen if your account doesn’t meet the eligibility requirements for the creator plan.

You can also choose to immediately cancel your Meta Verified subscription benefits if you don’t want to wait until the end of your current billing cycle.

Cancel your subscription benefits

Instagram mobile app (iPhone)
To immediately cancel your Meta Verified benefits on Instagram:
  1. Open the Instagram mobile app and log into your verified account.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  3. Tap menu in the top right, then tap Meta Verified.
  4. Tap the verified profile you want to cancel benefits for.
  5. Tap Cancel benefits.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Instagram mobile app (Android)
To immediately cancel your Meta Verified benefits on Instagram:
  1. Open the Instagram mobile app and log into your verified account.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  3. Tap menu in the top right, then tap Meta Verified.
  4. Tap the verified profile you want to cancel benefits for.
  5. Tap Cancel benefits.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Instagram website (Desktop)
To immediately cancel your Meta Verified benefits on Instagram:
  1. Log into your verified Instagram account on a computer.
  2. Click menu in the bottom left, then click Meta Verified.
  3. Click the verified profile you want to cancel benefits for.
  4. Click Cancel benefits.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  2. Tap more options in the bottom right, then tap .

Note: Canceling Meta Verified benefits will immediately remove your verified badge and all other benefits, including support. You won’t be refunded for the benefits you cancel before the end of your current billing cycle, unless otherwise required under applicable law.
