How to view insights on your Instagram Reels
This feature is only available on the Instagram mobile app.
Certain Messaging-related metrics, ad campaigns, and organic messaging features for businesses and ads delivered to and from Europe and Japan will be unavailable.
You can view insights on organic and boosted Reels that you create on Instagram.
Before you Begin
You need to have a business or creator account on Instagram to view insights on your Reels.
To view insights on your reels:
  1. Go to the Reels tab on your Instagram profile.
  2. Select the Reel you’d like to view metrics for.
  3. Below the Reel, tap View Insights.
Now, you'll be able to see how many likes, comments, saves, and shares your post got. You'll also see other engagement and post interactions metrics, such as:
  • Accounts Reached: The number of unique accounts that have seen your reel on screen at least once, whether or not your reel was played. Reach is different from impressions, which may include multiple views of your reel by the same accounts. This metric is estimated and in-development.
  • Plays: The number of plays, which are counted when a video starts to play automatically or because someone clicked to play the video. In some cases, such as when people see your reel on the web browser of their mobile device, your video may not play automatically.
Note that you can also view insights on your Reels under your overall account insights. You can access these through the Insights action button on your profile or by tapping Insights under Menu.
Reels Insights will only be available for Reels posted on and after 5/14/21.
