What tools does Instagram provide to help me enforce my intellectual property rights in advertisements and sale posts?
If you own a registered trademark, you may be eligible for Brand Rights Protection, which allows you to:
- Search across the text and title of ads, Shops content, and/or posts with product tags.
- Upload an image or logo to search for matching or similar images in ads, Shops content and/or posts with product tags.
- Review the results and identify any content you believe infringes your intellectual property rights and
- Report that content and/or account directly to Facebook.
Brand Rights Protection also allows you to sort and filter search results to target the content you wish to review, and to report that content individually or in bulk for counterfeit, trademark or copyright reasons. To apply for access to Brand Rights Protection, please fill out this application.
If you don’t have access to Brand Rights Protection and you believe content on Instagram infringes your intellectual property rights, you can report it to us through one of the following forms:
