Why verified badges are not automatic between Facebook and Instagram
Verified badges are different from Meta Verified.
- Verified badges confirm that a notable account is the authentic presence for that person or brand.
- Meta Verified is a paid subscription that confirms the account is validated and authentic. This subscription comes with a bundle of features and benefits available for both eligible profiles and eligible businesses.
If you already have an existing verified badge based on prior requirements, you can still sign up for Meta Verified.
Not all Facebook Pages with verified badges have verified badges on their Instagram accounts. If your page is verified on Facebook, you will still need to apply separately for a verified badge on Instagram.
If you don't have a verified badge on Instagram, you can link to your Instagram profile from your official Facebook page to help let people know that you’re authentic.
