Invite guests to join your live broadcast on Instagram
You can invite up to three guests to join your Live using Live Rooms or you can ask to join someone else’s Live. There are two ways you can start a live broadcast and invite guests on Instagram.
Note: The guest accounts must be following the broadcaster on Instagram in order to invite them as a guest.
Invite a guest to join your live broadcast on Instagram
- Tap
at the bottom or swipe right anywhere in Feed.
- Swipe to Live at the bottom.
- Tap

. Here you'll find requests to join your room. You can also tap 
next to the username of the person you want to invite or search for their username at the top. - Tap the
icon to invite your followers to your Live broadcast. - Tap Send Request. Note: If a guest accepts the invitation to join, they’ll appear in your live room. You'll also see if they've chosen to decline.
To remove someone who joined your live room, tap X in the top right of their video frame.
Ask to join someone’s live broadcast that you're viewing
- Tap
at the bottom of the screen. - Select
- Tap Request to join, then tap Send Request.
- If your request is accepted, you'll receive a notice that you're about to join the live room.
Note: You may automatically be asked if you want to request to join the live room in the comments section.
