Edit your reel clips on Instagram
You can record, create, and edit your reel clips directly in the Instagram app with a range of easy-to-use tools.
After you’ve recorded a clip or selected one from your gallery, tap the Edit Video button on the bottom left. You’ll then be able to see a number of video editing tools, including:
  • Scale
  • Crop
  • Rotate
  • Undo
  • Redo
Scale, resize, or crop your video
  1. Select the individual clip you want to edit.
  2. Tap Crop on the bottom right.
  3. Pinch the screen to scale, resize, or crop your video.
Rotate your video
  1. Select the individual clip you want to edit.
  2. Tap Crop on the bottom right.
  3. Pinch the screen and rotate your fingers to rotate the video..
Undo and redo
While using the editing timeline, you can undo or redo up to 20 individual actions. From the editing timeline view, there is a left-facing arrow and a right-facing arrow on the right above the timeline.
  1. Tap the left arrow to undo your editing action.
  2. Tap the right arrow to redo your editing action.
