Instagram appears to crash on my Android when trying to find my Facebook friends

There is a known issue on some Android devices that when you choose to Find Your Facebook Friends during the sign up process, the app appears to crash. We're aware of the issue and are working to fix it as soon as possible.

In the meantime, you can return to the app and tap Find Your Facebook Friends again from the menu that appears. If you want to find more people to follow, go to your profile, tap , and choose Find Friends. You can choose to see if your Facebook friends are using Instagram, as well as search for friends from your phone's contact list. You can also tap Suggested users to start following some of our favorite Instagram users.
